The Italian Lakes
Classic Italian hospitality set against dramatic scenery.
Villa d’Este
Located on the south-western edge of Lake Como, Villa d’Este is the region’s uncontested grand dame property. A former 16th century noble residence, the hotel is synonymous with excellent service, breathtaking views and sumptuous accommodations.
The152 guest rooms and suites are divided between two stately palaces: the Cardinal Building and the Queen’s Pavilion. Each room is individually and lavishly decorated with covetable antiques, marble bathrooms and oil paintings. Striped curtains complement the silk-brocade drapes and luxurious décor that lend each room a rich, sumptuous feel. The hotel boasts four stunning private villas – Villa Cima, Villa Malakoff, Villa Garrovo and the Mosaic House – all located in the estate’s luscious garden. Guests have access to all the facilities and amenities of the Villa d’Este while enjoying the privacy and exclusivity that a private villa offers. Meals at the Veranda, the hotel formal restaurant, are princely affairs (jacket and tie are required for gentlemen for dinner), but the rest of the dining venues are casual, with menus that please all ages. The more relaxed Grill and Il Platano offer exquisite dishes of the Italian tradition and delight their guests with their enchanting alfresco setting and lake views. The Canova bar serves light bites and drinks throughout the day and lakeside aperitifs in the evening. The on-property running path weaves through the property pristine park, while the Villa d’Este Sporting club features a sauna, Turkish bath, a floating pool on the lake, an indoor swimming pool and fitness facilities, along with tennis and squash courts, jogging trails, an indoor golf simulator and a putting green. The repeatedly awarded Beauty Center provides the perfect oasis to replenish mind, body and soul.

Villa Cordevigo
Villa Cordevigo Wine Relais retains the charming atmosphere of an old villa typical of the Veneto region surrounded by parkland and immersed in leafy 100-hectare grounds containing vineyards and olive trees on the Cavaion Veronese hills in the vicinity of Lake Garda.
Its unique and elegant rooms enjoy a luxurious and exclusive setting. Its philosophy, directed towards a discerning and sophisticated clientele, is about rediscovering ancient flavors and uniting wine and the local territory. The Villa is set amidst vineyards cultivating Bardolino Classico and Cavaion Veronese grapes in the locality of Cordevigo, which means “vitality of the heart”. Named by the ancient Romans, “Cordevigo” implies a place where the whole of nature is alive and transmits positive energy. The Villa boasts its Michelin-starred restaurant “Oseleta”, suites with hydromassage and color therapy, a hall for banquets and weddings (La Barchessa), a private consecrated chapel room for work dinners (Taverna Fracastoro) and wine tasting, transfer service and guided tours of wine cellar on bookings. There is also a terrace overlooking the historical, century-old park.
